STATEMENT

My work begins with the vestige, evidence that something has transpired. Like an archeologist, I search for traces and used everyday objects that reveal the unseen and give voice to the silenced. Objects are silent witnesses to our existence and, like bodies, are repositories of memory.

I work across various mediums such as performance, installation, sculpture, and video, exploring the impossibility of concealing or erasing memory. I inquire about what remains, from the object to the smallest particle, that which is not seen. What information does it bring us? What remains after something is broken or after someone dies? What transcends is time, memory, and residue: a trace, whose existence is a trace of traces, that survives and disrupts the identity of the present.
