A NECESSARY OVERFLOW
A long tablecloth gags and traps, shaping the mass of the non-swallowed, crockery and cutlery.
The cloth has a history, it denotes the use. The seams-sutures oppress, making visible the imprint of the family ritual.
Old wounds, scars and the anguish of the unsaid. A past concluded, the present without words.
Costurón is an installation created by a rectangular white table with a tablecloth which wraps tableware through seams. The objects are stitched mimicking the fabric. The mass, crockery-tablecloth, extends to one side of the table spilling to the ground.
