TIME IS A FAÇADE
INSTALLATION AND PERFORMANCE

I reflect on what remains with the passage of time. A trace that becomes memory. The work materializes a performative time that leaves marks—signs of a continuous becoming that alters and transforms our perception of reality. An inherited textile printed in clay on the wall alludes to the marks left in a house once it is no longer inhabited. Only objects remain, silent witnesses that, like bodies, are bearers of memory. The traces, dry and cracked, resemble the skin we inhabit. Performative time. The work gradually transformed—drying, cracking—revealing the inner layers of past times embedded in the wall.

In the final instance, in dialogue with time, I intervened by removing the fragments (remains) through a performance. They were slowly placed into a bowl, becoming dust once again, and that dust, as part of a cycle, returned to being clay.
